CADBURY ECLAIRS NOW KNOWN AS CADBURY CHOCLAIRS

The popular candy improves its much loved chocolate and caramel flavor & reduces stickiness too

Mumbai, December 2, 2013: Cadbury Eclairs, the rich chocolaty and caramel candy from Cadbury, is now known as Cadbury Choclairs. The rechristening of the brand has been undertaken to ensure that the name of the legendary candy is consistent globally. With the exception of India, the brand from the house of Cadbury has globally been known as Choclairs. Along with the new name, the candy is also undergoing specific positive product innovation to enhance the consumer experience with every bite of Choclairs.

In India, since its inception in 1971, the consumer's changing tastes and preferences have been at the core of our product innovations for Cadbury Éclairs. In its new avatar, Cadbury Choclairs, improves the popular flavor that Indians across the country have come to know and love so much. The product renovation exercise has also resulted in reducing the stickiness quotient of the candy.

Cadbury Choclairs will now be available in an all new attractive packaging; however, it will retain the purple and gold color that Cadbury Eclairs was widely associated with. The newly branded Cadbury Choclairs can be enjoyed by consumers across India.

Speaking on the re-launch of Cadbury Éclairs as Cadbury Choclairs, Amit Shah, Associate Vice President, Powdered Beverages, Gum & Candy, Cadbury India Ltd. said, "Cadbury Choclairs is one of the most distinguished brands of candy in the world and we are pleased to introduce this name in India. Apart from enabling us to align with the global brand name, this name change will also help consumers distinguish our brand, the original Cadbury candy, from other branded and unbranded Eclairs available in the market.
