Mondelēz International Announces Deepak Iyer
as India Managing Director
MUMBAI – August 1, 2016:
Mondelēz International today announced the appointment of Deepak Iyer as Managing Director of Mondelez India Foods Pvt Ltd. Deepak Iyer will also be part of the Asia Pacific Leadership Team and will report into Maurizio Brusadelli, EVP & President, Asia Pacific, Mondelēz International.

Deepak joins us with over twenty years of management experience spanning sales, marketing, R&D, franchise management and general management. He also comes with extensive experience in the FMCG space in India. Deepak Iyer was recently CEO & Managing Director of Bharti Axa General Insurance Company.
Prior to Bharti Axa, Mr Iyer was CEO and Managing Director of Wrigley India. He was earlier with PepsiCo Inc. for 17 years across different roles and in different markets. He has also worked in Marico Industries, Coats Viyella India and Tata Telecom Ltd.
Deepak Iyer will replace Chandramouli Venkatesan (Mouli) who led the business as Managing Director for close to two years and was with the company for more than a decade. Mr Venkatesan joined the company as Strategy Director and has held several senior leadership roles in Human Resources and category roles across India and South Asia. His contribution to the business over the last decade include driving the growth of the Chocolate Category in India and executing the highly successful launch of Oreo in 2011 and establishing the biscuit category in the country. Mr Venkatesan has decided to pursue future opportunities outside the business.
