India, December 29, 2014: India’s favorite quiz show Bournvita Quiz Contest, which has been around since over four decades, is all set to redefine quizzing in the country. The show will now be moving off the television medium to a new exclusive digital avatar, which will be launched on December 30th , 2014.You no longer have to be in class seven or eight to fulfill your dream of participating in the Bournvita Quiz Contest. The BQC in its all new digital avatar now gives everyone the chance to fulfill their desire to be on the show and compete against the rest of the world!
The digital version of the show which has been created especially for YouTube will enable audience interactivity and engagement by allowing viewers to play along during the show, which is not possible on the television medium. With the “Play along feature” enabled through the YouTube version of the show, you can now participate in the BQC at your convenience, no matter where you are and how old you are. This is the first major Indian show to be shot exclusively for the web, to enable interactivity with the audience. Additionally, an India Plays BQC App will be launched so fans can play anytime they desire, on their smartphones or laptops.

The show to be exclusively broadcast on YouTube (www.Youtube.com/BQCIndia) will act as a platform for the viewers to watch and play along with the actual contestants on the show and anywhere. An exclusive round especially for the digital audience will be introduced in the new season. A new feature called the 24x7 play has been also introduced on the YouTube channel, to whet the appetite of the quizzing enthusiasts, where one can continuously quiz, every minute, every hour and every day. You can climb up the global leader board and earn badges to showcase your progress.
To enable play on the go, India Plays BQC app which had over a lakh downloads last year, is being refreshed with these new features. This app is available on both android and IOS devices.

Going live on December 30th, there will be two new episodes every week for 7 consecutive weeks on the BQC YouTube Channel (www.YouTube.com/BQCIndia) every Friday & Tuesday. It will be aired at 6 p.m. to add to the delight of viewers. Further, these episodes can be viewed thereafter at any time of the day as per the convenience of the audience. The duration of each episode will be 12 minutes approximately, which will include 2 minutes for the audience round, during which the questions will be asked simultaneously to the participants and the viewers, and the viewers will be able to play along with the show participants.
